I currently have a wired connection to both my PS4 and PC, but I also tested to see if these issues persist over WiFi, in case the cord somehow became faulty, but again the same results occurred. The XB6 uses 10.0.0.1 in Gateway mode, not sure of what it does for Bridge mode. I'm wondering if Shaw is throttling my downloads - but they say they don't that. Agree the puma6 test has issues for me too. I do not understand networking well enough to troubleshoot this much further than 'Connection Troubleshooting' via Shaw's website, and I have followed those steps to no avail. The issue persists in other programs such as discord with mics constantly cutting. In the last few days the buffering has increased significantly, so much so that I ended up taking in the modem and getting a new XB6 hoping that would rectify the issues. Not quite. I came onto Shaw a couple of months ago as 150 customer - at the time I was provided the XB6 modem. I did get a replacement modem, the wifi issues stopped, but I still had constant service drops and random packet loss. - edited My past modem on Shaw 150 use to always hit 150. That should ensure that the system log contains any errors that might be pertinent to the situation. I honestly am quite confused on what to try, I would contact Comcast, but I am unsure of what to explain to them exactly to try and fix this issue. No clue. I am sorry for the unfortunate situation. You need to login to the router which I assume you know how to do. Also, the only thing I did differently is removing the USB drive I had in the Asus router.
Yes the Technicolor XB6 blue curve modem is way better than the Arris version. I highly doubt that Shaw will use the Broadcom version, but, its worth asking the question. However, after I began playing some games on my PC I have had constant connection issues. This issue persists on my PS4 as well with similar connection issues. In Bridge mode the router would be assigned 192.168.0.1 with the modem using 192.168.100.1 for its access. If Shaw took part in any of that, ok, take a bow, but, at least make some public statement to that effect instead of appearing to hide its head in the sand ..... no problem here in the sand pit!!! NO sure what the differences could be. Just ask!

Bluecurve is NOT WORTH IT. It does very strange behavior that doesn't represent real life conditions. My vote would be for the Technicolor modem, but in this case, for whichever one you have, maybe its time to call tech support to have a tech drop by with both modem models for swapping purposes. Fwiw, the Puma 7 modems … This thing has major issues and needs to be scrapped for another model of router that addresses the problems. RogersMoin. My networking equipment collided with this since I had a subnet with the same address and I had to reset the XB6. As it turns out, the Chipset of the original Arris XB6 Modem struggled with games in many capacities. I assumed it worked because the TV was working as well as the home phone. I put the XB6 into Bridge Mode and then went through the setup process with Orbi. 02-29-2020 My modem is a Technicolor CGM4140, funny thing is when I called Rogers last night with issues, they told me it was an Arris. no fix has been recommended other than switching this model for the Arris model. 03:49 PM Had two techs out at my house, showed them multiple problem connections to games and then when downgraded to my old connection and modem everything worked fine. One point to keep in mind, the previous Hitron modems ran 192.168.0.1 as their base LAN address in Gateway mode. I am now no longer getting the gigabit speed (or 9xx) that I was previously. I'm kinda hooped here, and I may just return the modem, and remove myself from shaw, and go to Telus. Shaw wouldn't control the firmware fixed just ask for them. The old units actually work up to 900 mbps, but Shaw is requiring customers to use the XB6 for Internet 600.
Completely disappears. No add ons to the Firmware, just Merlin's Asuswrt 384.15. These "microdisonnections" sound like what I'm experiencing. Connect to the XB6. Maybe a CM series modem.
