Aldi have done it again with their 29er Premium Mountain Bike, bringing rock solid parts and handling to a hardtail that sells for just $449. Gears was set up perfectly and perform fast and smooth. (Although attached stickers tell me it is not for downhill riding or jumps!). After doing quite a bit of research, I did buy one and my only complaints are the generic tires and super hard seat. That said, my use case is very specific and this evolving bike fits it perfectly; lightish trail riding with my son and re-living some of my old bmx freestyle days albeit with the new - but fun - challenges of a much bigger bike.
